My lunch breaks

Water fall in the center of the ponds
Texas lilac - there must be 25 or more of them around the pond
This is the bait house - no longer usable
One of my favorite pictures of the water falls. Not large but peaceful

I sit here to read during my break. An hour is way too long.

The water is and looks very dirty. There's fish in there and the dirt is to keep the hawks from seeing the fish and coming down to get them.

My computer screen picture. I have sat on these rocks to read, also

My walk to my secluded spot.

I know the pictures don't tell too much. There are two pictures of my lilac bush. Smells wonderful! Will post more when it fully blooms, Beside the birdbath is a stick - it's my pussywillow tree. At least it is still green. The Lily of the valley finally bloomed after being planted 3 or 4 years ago. I did get some leaves last year! The gerberas are some we planted when Tamra was still at home - 8 years ago, I like seeing the colors all about.

Hump Day (or whatever)

I was having such a good Wednesday. Classes were good. A picnic lunch by the pond at work. Knew answers to my quizzes. My work week half done. Good time on way hom. (Or so I thought) Almost to Lewisville on 121 there is a patrol car along the side of the road. I went into the middle lane to not be too close in case he decided to open his door. Passed him, signalled to turn back into the right lane, [Dad tells us we should only drive in the right lane :)] going 60, no more no less. All of a sudden the police car pulls out behind me. I've not done anything wrong so just keep going. After about 3 minutes, he turns on his lights. I pull over to let him pass (I thought) Lo and behold, he pulls in behind me. When I realize he's coming for me, I moved the car farther off the road,... well I started. Apparently he thought I was leaving, so motioned for me to stop. A 'fine' Lewisville policeman wanted me to know that he appreciated the fact I had moved over to the middle of the road, BUT I hadn't used my turn signal!!! So he wastes 10-15 minutes of my time chatting and writing out a warning. Was I perturbed? No need to ask. I was very pleasant and so he chats some more and wastes more time. I asked him about all the others that didn't use their signal, He says "When you go fishing, you don't catch them all".
