My week

It's not nearly so interesting!! Work 7A to 4P every day. Church on Wed. Other wise early nights. 7-4 doesn't sound so bad but it's up at 4:30 and not home until 5. I am getting use to it. Next week it's 8-5 every day - class time. 85 out today - 56 tomorrow. This is Texas!!

Bad mother-in-law and wife. Had supper tonight for birthdays but forgot the camera. It was upstairs but didn't think of it. Had 5 grandkids over. Good time for all but Jason. He was not feeling well and then Phil was tired too. Supper was good - Phil grilled. Oreo cookie dessert and pumpkin roll. Have some left, so come on over. Ready for bed. Early tomorrow to get to church. Still not so early as during the week. Can't believe the first week of new job is over. One week at a time and then we'll be done.

Day one is over. Drive not too bad. 20 miles. 37 minutes. 40 minutes at 5P Not bad for Hwy 121. Got more tired with 8 hours of doing nothing (I'm orienting) than 12 hours at work. A full1 hour lunch break with no cell phone and beeper in my pocket. That's a plus aftr 25 years of always being available. On to Day two. I'm going to try a different route today.

Had a good weekend. My friend, Diana and her husband came for 36 hours or so. Spent Friday down in Dallas. Went to the site of JFK's asassination. Then on to Texas Motor Speedway and Cabela's. Had a great time catching up with each other.
And now here I am, up at 0530 getting ready for work. That's right in the morning. First day to drive to Friisco. Have orientation for a few weeks. Looking forward to the new environment. No longer the Indian chief, just one of the new indians. It's still dark so maybe my mind will think it is night time. :)

Time for a Change

It's my last night to work. I've given most of my uniforms away. I'm throwing out my nursing shoes when I get home. Cleaning out the computer at work. No more pictures of grandkids to look at here --- well, I can still look at their blogs the rest of the night. No more worries! Have the rest of the week to get ready for next Mon. orientation. I just have an abundance of smiles, and a load lifted off my shoulders.
